Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Assignment 23 - Motion

09-10-2009 11:27pm#1Ladies, Gentlemen and those who are undecided, the theme for the next assignment is Motion
This time round we're looking for pictures which convey a sense of movement.
Doesn't have to be fast action, it can be slow milky water or maybe clouds across a moon or whatever. It's up to you.
The main criteria is that when you look at the image the first thing that you see is movement of some sort.
This is an area that I don't feel particularly confident in so I'm looking forward to challenging myself.
Most of all, get out and take some pictures and enjoy the challenge!
General rules apply:
*Photos must be in by 2 weeks of given task - closing date Saturday 24th October, 9pm.
*No old photos. Only photos taken with this task in mind qualify - sorry. Therefore, dated 9th October onwards.
*Photos must be on the given task.
*ONE photo per post. Post as many as you like.
*C&C to be encouraged - but be nice about it.
*Stretch yourself - no limitation to what you can do to produce the image.
*Next task/subject to be chosen by person who has the most thanks after their post (must include a picture in the post ).

this was taken earlier today i know its a few hours before the assignment was anoounced still i'll post it up wet the appitate, got my new camera today and this was the third picture i took, i only hope every third picture i take is lke this one, ha ha. My dog and me were playing fetch with his favouite ball, grass was soaking and on his first run over the garden he discovered that when he overshot the ball and tried turning with this result.....
I thik its captures the assignment topic well, if only it was taken tomorrow, ha ha.0 -

Started feeling a bit dodgy actually, hanging off the balcony with a telephoto lensI think its the 2 white lines plus your angle, looks great, try it with person more in motion more blured, cause the white lines would really add to it.

I was waiting for me bus outside custom house, rested the camera on the steps (a clean part !!) waited for the traffic to pass by, that one was a Dublin bus.
Over the last few weeks there have been quite a few people with camera/tripods floating around, I seen these 2 lads taking some photos on Monday and thought I'd head over for a bit of a chin wag, just to ask about lens n tips... got the cold shoulder
Same about 2 weeks ago. Maybe it's just cause it's late at night and people are weary of their gear. 
Im around there every Mon+Wend 930-10pm with a A2 folder under my arm!0 -
